Porcelain Veneers: What is the Process?
Porcelain veneers usually necessitate two visits to the dentist. Three crucial steps are done during the initial visit. To begin, your teeth will be prepared for a veneer, which will entail cutting a piece of the tooth to allow the veneer to be cemented on top. Second, an impression of your tooth is obtained, which will be submitted to a laboratory for veneer preparation. Finally, depending on how much of your tooth structure was removed, you may be given a temporary veneer. While the permanent veneer is being manufactured in the laboratory, this temporary veneer will preserve your tooth.
If you had a temporary veneer, it will be removed at the second appointment. The new veneer will then be tested to see if it fits properly after it arrives from the laboratory. Because it's ideal not to make changes to porcelain veneers after they've been bonded to your teeth, any necessary changes will be made before they're bonded. The veneer will be attached to your tooth once you and your dentist are satisfied with its appearance and feel.
